Q: How will my gift basket be shipped?


A: Our preferred carrier for ground shipping throughout the European Union is UPS. Our goal is to find the best shipping solutions for your gift baskets, so when necessary, we may also work with other shipping providers.



Q:How long will it take to process my gift basket order for shipment?


A: You can order gift baskets until 9:00AM CET to have your order processed and shipped the same day. Any orders placed after 9:00AM CET will be shipped the following day. Please note we always give the option to choose a desired delivery date on the delivery address page during the checkout process.



Q: Do you offer shipping insurance?


A: Yes, all gift baskets are insured against loss and damage during shipping at no extra cost to you!



Q: Can I send a personalized message with my gift basket?


A: Yes, you can include personalized messages with all gift baskets. You will be given the option to add a message on the delivery address page during the checkout process. Bulk orders can also add persoalized messages on the order form. Each gift basket will arrive with the personalized message attached to the delivery note located on the outside of the package.



Q: Why are you limited to the Countries you can ship your gift baskets to?


A: Some European Countries do not have optimized delivery services, making it hard to guarantee delivery. For this reason, we cannot deliver to Norway, Republic of Cyprus and Malta. The list of all remaining EU Countries, plus Switzerland, Liechtenstein & the UK that we can deliver to can be found here:

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?


A: We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Paypal.



Q: What is your product substitution policy?


A: In rare situations, a product may suddenly not be available. In these cases, we reserve the right to substitute that product with another product of greater or equal value. When this becomes necessary, please be assured that the subsitute product would be matched accordingly to fit with the gift basket you have ordered. We believe it is better to ship the gift basket on time than on waiting to ship once the product is available again. We appreciate you understanding our policy on this issue.



Q: What are your hours of operation?


A: On the phone are at least available Monday through Friday 10AM - 2PM CET.

Q: Why do you need my recipient's phone number?


A: Shipping companies require the recipient's phone number to qualify for our guaranteed delivery service. With your permission, we would call the gift basket recipient only when a deliver problem arrises.



Q: Do you ship chocolate in the summer?


A: Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to ship chocolates in the summer months. The summer heat melts our chocolate products, creating gift basket and hamper conditions that are not up to our standards. We remove some of our chocolate gift baskets from our online shop in the summer. Please be aware that any gifts including chocolate products that remain online in the summer months will have the chocolate replaced by another sweet treat with the same or higher value.



Q: How long have you been in business?


A: Gift Baskets Europe has been in business since 2002.



Q: Do you charge VAT on your gift baskets?


A: We are required by law to collect VAT on all gift baskets designated for the European Union. We include VAT in the pricing you see in our online store. Many businesses qualify for VAT exclusion. We encourage these businesses to visit

Q: How can I track my order?


A: Upon order confirmation, you will receive login information to track your order here:

Once we have processed the order, you will find the date the gift basket will be shipped. You will also see the tracking link here, however this is not posted until the package has been collected by UPS, our preferred carrier, or possibly from an alternative carrier when necessary. In addition, keep an eye out for updated information direct from the shipping carrier. These emails are important, as they will have the most up to date information and will alert you early of any delivery issues.



Q: How will my gift basket be packaged for shipping?



A: Each gift basket is carefully packaged, fully ready to be enjoyed the moment the box is opened. All bottles of wine, champagne, liquor and beers are packaged in a safe and secure manor, to ensure they arrive to your recipients throughout Europe in perfect condition.



Q: Where do you ship from?


A: We ship direct from our warehouse located in the town of Tettnang, Germany. This central Europen location in the South of Germany allows us to keep shipping costs low and deliver fast!
